The night patrol is a two-part piece that follows the pride male lion’s daily patrol of his territory from the last light of the evening till the glowing of dawn where he emerges from his patrol.
Till The Glowing Of Dawn captures our pride male’s return.
The patrol comes to an end as the light grows and the morning sun rises.
With the glow of a new dawn,
The guardian of the territory returns to his abode.
Through the night he faced the bitter winds,
He sounded his call,
Alerted his rivals and stood true to his stature.
He remains dominant; he remains in reign and like an applause from his home ground,
He is greeted by the fiery glow of gracious morning dew on whistling reeds in the warming morning breeze.
